The project will focus on the provision of relevant VET skills addressing two main target groups: Continuous training (C-VET) for experienced agri-food entrepreneurs, needing to renew their skills and up-skills to further develop their SMEs toward long term sustainable practices, integrating social, environmental and economic factors. I-VET and/or C-VET for youth, especially youth who are in the last year of their university studies and those who have been recently graduated, looking for improving their employability, and those that are in the process of establishing their own entrepreneurial venture, providing them new knowledge, skills and competence in business management and business models in the agri-food sector as a career opportunity.

This group has informal high level digital competences that might be used by the first group.

This project relies on 4 pillars: three training packages addressing respectively the entrepreneurs, the youth and both together in an intergenerational pack, and an online platform. APPETITE concerns the implementation of an Online Training Course through an OER Learning Platform answering the need for strategic business models in the agrifood sector. Through this platform the trainees, elder entrepreneurs and youth will obtain and strengthen high quality work-based skills and competences in order to develop more efficient and sustainable business models.

This Project is in line with the sustainable development goals of the UN, especially with SDG target 4.7: By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development; and Goal 8: Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all.
