Third Consortium Meeting of The APPETITE Project was held in Avignon, France.

The APPETITE (Agrifood Partnership Promoting Education for the Transition of the Industry Toward Enduring Business Models) project started on 1st of December 2017. The APPETITE Project, supported by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, aims at developing and delivering training and practical education on enduring business models among an innovative training course addressing, on the one side, to experienced agri-food entrepreneurs and on the other side, to youth seeking for new work opportunities.

The project also answers to the need for education and training in the field of Enduring Business Models in the agri-food sector.

The 2 – years project is supported by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, and has 7 partners from 5 EU Countries (Turkey, Spain, Italy, Denmark and France). Union of Dairy, Beef, Food Industrialists and Producers of Turkey (SETBIR) is the coordinator of the APPETITE Project. The partners are; FEDACOVA (Spain), FEDERALIMENTARE (Italy), CRITT (France), COORDINA (Spain), Aalborg University (Denmark), TATICS (Italy).

The third consortium meeting of the APPETITE Project was held on 24 – 25 January 2019 in Avignon, France. The partners discussed how to coordinate development of APPETITE training program, modules and learning journey. The partners agreed that the course should provide a Minimal Viable Solution – and that the application of this could be based on a variety of interaction types – online and offline. And also, they decided keep flexibility the organization of the learning journey because of difference of public, difference of culture etc.

After all training materials are completed, C1 learning activity will be held on 10-14 June 2019 in Rome, Italy. The preparation of this training activity will be done by all partners together and it has already started with practical details on organisation during meeting in Avignon.

Additionally, the partners decided the criteria of participants selection and needed practical arrangements. Each partner will select 2 entrepreneurs and 2 youth (In Spain, FEDACOVA will select the two entrepreneurs and COORDINA the two youth) for this training activity. The selected entrepreneurs should have interesting profiles and needs for business model change, as it will make their case more interesting for the study. Youth should have at least a demonstrated interest for the agri-food sector.

The partners also discussed E activities that will be held in each partner country. They decided that E activities must be held after the C1 learning activity because the purpose of E activities is to disseminate the project and learning materials.

The goals of this multiplier event will be to inform youth and unemployed about the opportunities offered by the agrifood industry for career development, to stimulate public agencies and agri-food businesses associations to mainstreaming business skills as a key topic for firm competitiveness at public policy and company policy level and to engage agri-food businesses associations and vocational training centres to deliver this e-learning course for enhancing their companies’ competitiveness.
